Kerry & Nick's Manhattan Wedding
Monday, April 20, 2009 at 02:40PM We always welcome an opportunity to shoot in Manhattan-- the place is like one giant movie set, filled with visual drama and storytelling potential. Kerry and Nick's wedding is a good example, using the architectural opportunities as a backdrop for their celebration of commitment and love. Since we work as a team, we can be in two places at once during the "getting ready" time at the start of the day. So, while Shelley was making beautiful portraits of Kerry looking fabulous, Keith was with the guys at the Michael Jordan Steakhouse in Grand Central Station:

Kerry and Nick went for the tradition of not seeing each other before their ceremony, but, as illustrated by these time-synchronized images, texting is allowed, Kerry from her getting ready location, and Nick walking up Park Avenue on the way to the church:

The ceremony took place at Saint Barholomew's on Park Avenue, visually amazing:

Exiting the church, Kerry and Nick were greeted by their guests and bridal party, cheering from a hired sightseeing bus:

And how about a champagne toast on Park Avenue:

Next stop was the Yale Club, for cocktails on the outdoor terrace with Midtown's skyscrapers for a backdrop:

The reception began with their first dance, which captured the attention of one young observer:

We always love the craziness that kids bring to the party, they're all about having fun:

It was a great day, congrats to Nick and Kerry, you did everything right!
