More About This Website

Welcome to our blog! Here you can learn a little more about ShelleyAndKeith Photography-- who we are, what we do, and how we do it-- with plenty of images from our photographic adventures. You can see more wedding imagery on our PORTFOLIO SITE, www.shelleyandkeith.com

We photograph weddings in New Jersey, New York City, Connecticut, and Philadelphia, always working together as a team. For the start of the day, we can be in two locations to capture the preparation of bride and groom simultaneously. The rest of the day involves our practiced teamwork. After hundreds of weddings, we know how to capture moments from multiple angles simultaneously, which expands the storytelling power of our coverage. We have each won awards from the Wedding PhotoJournalist Association (WPJA), and also have an award from the Artistic Guild of the Wedding Photojournalist Association (AGWPJA). Our work has been published in Brides Magazine. We are a 2010 pick for The Knot's Best of Weddings.

We look forward to capturing the unique and subtle qualities of our couples, letting their relationship lead the way, with a minimum of posing. After all, the whole idea is to communicate the singular love story that is at the heart of a beautiful wedding day.

Nadya & Evan at Hotel du Pont

We haven't made an exhaustive search, but we have a feeling that the most beautiful place to get married in Wilmington, Delaware must be the incredible Hotel du Pont, so we were pleased and excited to be with Nadya and Evan for their celebration! We started out with a meetup at a local park, where they saw each other for the first time in all their wedding day splendor...

and, after some family photos, we rode back to the hotel, grabbing this moment on the way...

And then the Ketubah Ceremony, both moving and joyous:

Then, their ceremony was held in the hotel's du Barry Ballroom, with the Rittenhouse String Quartet playing music by Philip Glass...

As you can see here, it's a gorgeous room, and we were able to capture some nice moments with the available light, here's where the fast glass really pays off:

After the ceremony, we were able to spend a few minutes alone with them in the Grand Ballroom, where we made this classic portrait:

This beautiful couple wanted to entertain their guests, and that they did! For example, check out their amazing first dance, which was an unexpected choreagraphic treat:

Obviously, the crowd loved it! With a real, live big band, the Jump City Jazz Orchestra, the night was a great celebration.

Thanks so much to Nadya and Evan for all the creativity and planning, it was a fantastic day!
